Registration fee will cover all conference sessions, programme and abstract book, certificates of attendance, refreshments, including lunches and dinners during social events, and transportation from the hotel to the social events. Accommodation and travel expenses fees are not included – to be paid individually in all cases.



Abstract registration is definitely closed.

All delegates, including those making presentations, must register in the standard way and an invitation to make a presentation does not imply that financial support will be provided.


The IPSW 2011 meeting, including satellite events will be held in Park Inn hotel, Kraków. The Park Inn Kraków hotel is situated in the heart of Krakow’s city centre and is within walking distance of famous attractions, such as the historicWawelCastleand the Jewish district of Kazimierz. It is located near to the historical centre of Kraków and has good connections to the airport and all public transport. The hotel provides conference facilities with hotel standard accommodation. For students, there will be a cheaper alternative in the Etap hotel and students hostel “Za Kolumnami”.



Kraków is the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. Its historic centre is inscribed on the list of World Heritage Sites. Situated on the Vistula River (Polish: Wisła) in the Lesser Poland region, the city dates back to the 7th century. Kraków has traditionally been one of the leading centres of Polish academic, cultural and artistic life and is one of Poland’s most important economic centres. It was the capital of Poland from 1038 to 1596; the capital of the Grand Duchy of Kraków from 1846 to 1918; and the capital of Kraków Voivodeship from the 14th century to 1999. It is now the capital of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.
